Technical assistance coordinator

Rahni Cason, MA


Rahni serves as a Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator at Rulo Strategies, where she supports grantees and stakeholders in accessing resources, guidance, and best practices related to opioid, stimulant, and substance use issues. In this capacity, she collaborates with communities to assess current practices, identify gaps and barriers, and determine technical assistance needs for prevention, treatment, and recovery services.

Before joining Rulo Strategies, Rahni worked at the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice at Wayne State University’s School of Social Work. As Project Coordinator, she supported Michigan communities in implementing and expanding access to Medications for Opioid Use Disorder for incarcerated individuals. In addition, she served as Project Director for the Center’s jail diversion initiatives, including Stepping Up, where she led efforts to increase opportunities for individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders to be diverted from jail into treatment and community-based supports.

Rahni holds a master’s degree in human resource management from Marygrove College. She resides in rural Michigan and enjoys a quiet life with her daughter.
