Client Services Coordinator
Ally Fouts Gaines
As Client Services Coordinator, Ally works behind the scenes on Rulo Strategies' four websites and stakeholder communications. She handles page layout and ensures a consistent brand identity across Rulo's work. She also assists with the newsletters and other regular publications and maintains mailing lists.
Ally worked in local government before joining Rulo Strategies. She entered the public sector as a Lead for North Carolina fellow (a program that puts recent college graduates to work in local government), serving her own community, Harnett County. She started in grants administration and grew into coordinating the county's Opioid Task Force. Over that time, she built the task force's leadership structure from the ground up, ensured compliance for grant funds (including opioid settlement funds), administered two state pass-through grants totaling more than $2.6 million to 86 subrecipients, and presented action items to the Board of Commissioners.
Ally graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where she studied environmental management and policy. She lives in a small farm town in North Carolina with her husband, their cats and dogs, and a garden they are slowly turning into a homestead.
